Each year we seek one or more alternate sources of grapes from several of the Northern California wine appellations, to round out the family of Perfusion wines. The winemaking, from pressing, fermentation, aging, and blending trials are all carried out in the same San Francisco facility, as Perfusion Pinot Noir.
Each of our blends has rich and full-bodied profiles. Our earliest, from 2012, was a combination of equal parts Petite Sirah and Zinfandel, sourced from Perfusion Vineyard and Lake County. The second blend, created in the same proportions in 2014, was sourced from Perfusion Vineyard and Napa County. This vintage was named Frantic Manor as a tip of the hat to my father, who inspired the farmer in me. Frantic Manor was his nickname for the household in which I grew up, and reflected the energy (and chaos) that was the rule of that roost!
Moving forward, we are excited to present a very limited production of 2015 Howell Mountain Zinfandel. In addition, we look forward to a Fiddletown Syrah that will be ready for bottling later in 2017.
